‘828’ is the code that identifies Urbino, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The 828 U over & under firearm combines the experience of the past with the new technological era. The sleek lines of the receiver with its peculiar engravings extending to the stock exude elegance in a perfect harmony of shapes and materials. The wood incorporates the Progressive Comfort system, the butt plate and the special polyurethane comb are the ideal combination to reduce perceived recoil and muzzle rise. 828 U is the epitome of lightweight and comfort, stability and adaptability. A shotgun with fast, yet extremely stable swinging, capable of adapting perfectly to the shape and shooting stance of the hunter. The only over & under shotgun that provides for fine-tuning of drop and deviation (Perfect fitting). The heart of the Benelli over & under shotgun is the Lock Plate locking system made from hardened steel. A simple and ingenious device that ensures strong and reliable locking and cancels mechanical stress. the aluminium receiver makes for a lightweight over & under (at less than 3 kg), yet extremely resistant and perfectly balanced. Another important element is the 828 U's compact, removable, precise, practical, reliable cocking assembly with short percussion times. 828 U delivers optimal performance and comfort tailored to your needs.

Progressive comfort
The innovative progressive recoil absorption system kicks in gradually according to cartridge and ammunition loading. This is the true essence of comfort, an invisible, yet highly sensitive system.
Perfect Fit
Perfect Fit overcomes the traditional barriers of drop and deviation providing easily customised solutions. Fast shouldering and instinctive aiming are ensured by the countless options to fine-tune drop and deviation (40 combinations: 20 rh-20 lh) to your specific needs. Optimum performance and tailored comfort are within your reach.
Lock Plate
The patented locking system consists of a plate that perfectly seals the single-piece unit. The firing pressure remains contained in the plate/single-piece assembly, reducing the stress applied to the rotating pins. The 828 U's steel locking system is durable and guarantees the elimination of any mechanical stress on the receiver.
Powerbore
The Power Bore cryogenic barrel with selected bore and very small diameters ensures greater speed and target penetration. Power Bore Crio: the ideal bore for a perfect hit and to be sure you’ll never miss the target.
Crio System
In cryogenic technology, the first element you need to consider is the barrel. The expansion caused by friction heat and pressure is limited, so that the barrel can vibrate and expand evenly on firing. The pattern provided by a cryogenic barrel is wider, more regular and more uniform, with pattern centres that will not shift as you fire shot after shot, to the benefit of shooting accuracy. Cryogenic treatment also has positive effects on the life of the barrel, which is more resistant to wear and less susceptible to attack by combustion residues. Benelli was the first company to apply Cryogenic Treatment to the barrel and choke of a light firearm on an industrial scale in order to enhance its ballistic performance.
Steel Shot
Each barrel marked with the lily emblem undergoes National Proof House testing for steel shot ammunition. The Crio Steel Shot chokes feature elongated chamfers to guarantee maximum ballistic performance and resistance when using Steel ammunition.
