INSPIRATION
Biomimetics
The Lupo Alpha stock and forend design are inspired by biomimetics, a scientific approach that investigates how nature has found evolutionary solutions that respond to certain functionalities. In our case: how to combine lightness and strength? The natural system that inspired the Benelli team is the bone structure of some animal species, such as birds, which have internal cavities and a highly specialized skeleton that combines lightness and strength.

Generative design
Lupo Alpha's stock and forend were designed with an innovative method that "generates" potential designs based on performance objectives. The configurations produced are quickly explored with the use of artificial intelligence, until the most efficient solution is reached. In the final phase, the stock and forend design was remodeled by the Benelli team according to advanced ergonomic studies to optimize lightness, ergonomics and performance.

Additive manufacturing
Lupo Alpha's stock and forend were made with an addition process. Unlike traditional production methods, which create objects by subtracting material, 3D printing or additive manufacturing is a modern production process in which objects are made by adding successive layers of material. This highly sustainable method reduces waste and allows the creation of any type of geometry with an optimized design.

Every Benelli bolt action is accuracy-tested to guarantee it performs sub-M.O.A. accuracy with a 3 shot group, using quality factory ammunition.
Crio System
In cryogenic technology, the first element you need to consider is the barrel. The expansion caused by friction heat and pressure is limited, so that the barrel can vibrate and expand evenly on firing. The pattern provided by a cryogenic barrel is wider, more regular and more uniform, with pattern centres that will not shift as you fire shot after shot, to the benefit of shooting accuracy. Cryogenic treatment also has positive effects on the life of the barrel, which is more resistant to wear and less susceptible to attack by combustion residues. Benelli was the first company to apply Cryogenic Treatment to the barrel and choke of a light firearm on an industrial scale in order to enhance its ballistic performance.

BE.S.T. is an exclusive Benelli technology to guarantee maximum resistance to corrosion, abrasion, wear and the elements. BE.S.T. surface treatment uses cutting-edge hybrid technology, covered by trade secret. The coating has characteristics similar to those of a diamond when it comes to hardness, resistance and precious finish. BE.S.T. is completely eco-friendly, since the process used involves no dangerous emissions for the environment.
