INSPIRATION
Biomimetics
The Lupo Alpha stock and forend design are inspired by biomimetics, a scientific approach that investigates how nature has found evolutionary solutions that respond to certain functionalities. In our case: how to combine lightness and strength? The natural system that inspired the Benelli team is the bone structure of some animal species, such as birds, which have internal cavities and a highly specialized skeleton that combines lightness and strength.

DESIGN
Generative design
Lupo Alpha's stock and forend were designed with an innovative method that "generates" potential designs based on performance objectives. The configurations produced are quickly explored with the use of artificial intelligence, until the most efficient solution is reached. In the final phase, the stock and forend design was remodeled by the Benelli team according to advanced ergonomic studies to optimize lightness, ergonomics and performance.

MANUFACTURING
Additive manufacturing
Lupo Alpha's stock and forend were made with an addition process. Unlike traditional production methods, which create objects by subtracting material, 3D printing or additive manufacturing is a modern production process in which objects are made by adding successive layers of material. This highly sustainable method reduces waste and allows the creation of any type of geometry with an optimized design.

Crio System
En la tecnología criogénica el primer elemento que debe considerarse es el cañón, cuyas dilataciones producidas por el calor de la fricción y por la presión son mínimas, y esto permite que el cañón vibre y se dilate uniformemente al momento del disparo. Como se ve en el gráfico, el plomeo obtenido con el cañón criogénico es mucho más amplio, regular y uniforme y sus centros no se desplazan al ir disparando con lo cual se mantiene la precisión de disparo. El tratamiento criogénico también tiene efectos positivos en la vida útil del cañón, ya que es más resistente al desgaste y no sufre los efectos de los residuos de combustión. Benelli ha sido el primero en aplicar a escala industrial el Tratamiento Criogénico en el cañón y en el estrangulador de un arma ligera con la finalidad de potenciar las prestaciones balísticas.

BE.S.T. es la exclusiva tecnología de Benelli que garantiza la máxima resistencia a la corrosión, abrasión, desgaste y a los agentes externos. El tratamiento superficial BE.S.T. utiliza una tecnología híbrida altamente innovadora y cubierta por secreto industrial. Un revestimiento que posee características similares a un diamante en cuanto a resistencia, dureza y belleza. BE.S.T. es un tratamiento completamente ecológico, ya que el proceso para su realización no genera emisiones nocivas para el medio ambiente.
Combtech
La evolución tecnológica Benelli ha generado la nueva cresta Combtech para reducir el impacto en el rostro. La combinación de una estructura elástica con un sistema ergonómico que se adapta a la conformación del pómulo y vuelve instantáneamente a la posición original amortigua el impacto en la mejilla.
