INSPIRATION
Biomimetics
The Lupo Alpha stock and forend design are inspired by biomimetics, a scientific approach that investigates how nature has found evolutionary solutions that respond to certain functionalities. In our case: how to combine lightness and strength? The natural system that inspired the Benelli team is the bone structure of some animal species, such as birds, which have internal cavities and a highly specialized skeleton that combines lightness and strength.

DESIGN
Generative design
Lupo Alpha's stock and forend were designed with an innovative method that "generates" potential designs based on performance objectives. The configurations produced are quickly explored with the use of artificial intelligence, until the most efficient solution is reached. In the final phase, the stock and forend design was remodeled by the Benelli team according to advanced ergonomic studies to optimize lightness, ergonomics and performance.

MANUFACTURING
Additive manufacturing
Lupo Alpha's stock and forend were made with an addition process. Unlike traditional production methods, which create objects by subtracting material, 3D printing or additive manufacturing is a modern production process in which objects are made by adding successive layers of material. This highly sustainable method reduces waste and allows the creation of any type of geometry with an optimized design.

Crio System
Na tecnologia criogénica, o primeiro elemento a considerar é o cano - aqui estão contidas as dilatações resultantes do calor pelo atrito e aqueles advindos da pressão -; ou seja, permite ao cano vibrar e dilatar-se de modo uniforme no momento do disparo. O padrão de tiro obtido com o cano criogénico resulta mais amplo, mais regular e mais uniforme, com centros de padrão de tiro que não se movem ao progredir o número das munições disparadas, para benefício da exatidão de tiro. O tratamento Criogénico tem efeitos positivos também na vida útil do cano, que se torna mais resistente ao desgaste e menos afixável aos resíduos de combustão. Primeiro, a Benelli aplicou, em escala industrial, o Tratamento Criogénico no cano e chokes de uma arma leve, com o propósito de aumentar o desempenho balístico.

A BE.S.T. é a tecnologia exclusiva da Benelli que garante a máxima resistência à corrosão, abrasão, desgaste e agentes externos. O tratamento superficial BE.S.T. faz uso de uma tecnologia híbrida altamente inovadora e coberta por segredo industrial. Um revestimento que tem características semelhantes a um diamante, pela resistência, dureza e preciosidade. A BE.S.T. é um tratamento totalmente ecológico, pois o processo de criação não produz emissões danosas ao ambiente.
Combtech
A evolução tecnológica Benelli criou a nova crista Combtech para reduzir o impacto no rosto. A combinação de uma estrutura elástica com um sistema ergonómico capaz de se adaptar à forma da maçã do rosto e retornar instantaneamente à posição original, absorve o impacto na bochecha.
